The Search and Rescue Common Operating Platform (SARCOP) has become a valuable tool for planning the response to water rescue incidents. However, with the number of data layers available within the platform, it can sometimes become a bit overwhelming and confusing for personnel in the field. Jared Doke, Director at NAPSG Foundation, the organization that built and maintains SARCOP, will provide a brief overview of the platform and then discuss some of the most utilized flood data layers available, what they are, and how they can be used to inform operational decisions. And if there is anything you wanted to know more about, bring your questions as Jared will leave plenty of time for open discussion.
